Annual Club Meeting

The Annual Meeting is normally when we elect the new officers who will oversee the Club’s activities—President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary—for the fiscal year that begins September 1st. It also provides an opportunity to discuss proposed events for the year, give suggestions, collect member dues, and see new and familiar faces while enjoying delicious food. 

Because of the pandemic, California has prohibited large gatherings of persons who are not living in the same household, thereby precluding the Club from holding its Annual Meeting in person and preventing the in-person election of incoming officers. 

Therefore, the Executive Committee and the Board have authorized an alternative process for Officer candidate approval via electronic voting by all Club members of record as of August 31st. In the same ballot, members will also vote electronically on a proposed update to the Constitution and Bylaws that would add the Secretary to the Executive Committee, among other minor changes. 

If you are already a Club member, you will automatically receive an Evite with the Zoom link. If you are not a member, either join the club through our website to get the automatic Evite, or email the club at thepeninsulasmithclub@gmail.com by September 11 to get the Zoom link via email. You do not need to be a member to attend the meeting, but you must be a member in order to vote. We look forward to seeing you there!
