On Sunday, December 3, we gathered at the home of Joy Silver '96 for the cherished 16th Annual Smith Club of the Peninsula Cookie Exchange! What a wonderful event, giving us the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season together by sharing delicious treats and exchanging recipes. Thank you to Joy for her amazing hosting skills.

On Sunday, December 4th we gathered at the home of Joy Silver to celebrate our 15th year of exchanging cookies, recipes, and harrowing stories of holiday shopping and travel plans.

Thanks to club member Joy Silver '96, we were able to gather outdoors on her back patio and take the necessary precautions to rekindle our annual tradition of the cookie exchange. It was a great way to reconnect and an excellent excuse to eat our weight in cookies.

On Sunday, December 6, 2020 we celebrated our annual cookie exchange in the best way that we could: by reimagining it as Zoom gathering where we decorated our own gingerbread houses! Some folks decorated, some sipped hot beverages and chatted, and one intrepid Smithie Laura Selznik '68 was live-baking a gingerbread house from scratch -- including turrets -- as we watched in wonder.

We gathered in early December to share some sweet treats and reunite with fellow Smithies!
