On July 10th some young alumnae got together with the Smith students working at NASA and Google this summer to enjoy a fun pizza lunch at Blue Line Pizza in Mountain View.
We chatted about their amazing internships over pizza, walked around the Mountain View Farmers Market while all playing Pokemon Go, and rounded out the day by going to Century 16 Theatre to watch "Finding Dory" together as a group.
They are an amazing bunch of young scientists and we had a wonderful time spending the day together and learning about what they've been doing this summer.
On Sunday, June 12th, the Club held its annual afternoon tea to kick off the summer with local Smithies.
We had 32 attendees, including alumnae, incoming students, parents, mentors, and current students. We had a large contingent of current students interning at NASA-Ames who were glad to make connections with the Smith network on the Peninsula. It was a hot summer day, but we still had a fun time getting to know one another amid laughter and great conversation.
Many thanks to Jean Davidson '73 for sharing her home and garden with us.
The Smith College Club of the Peninsula
We are a group of Smith alumnae of all ages and professions who continue to get excited about Smith and meeting other Smith alumnae.
